As a requirement of Local Law 196 of 2017, the New York City Department of Buildings (NYC DOB) has specific regulations regarding safety on the job site for people working in New York City. Workers at job sites requiring a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator, or Site Safety Manager must have a total of 40 hours of safety training.

The OSHA 30 Hour Outreach Training Programs were developed by the OSHA Training Institute with the intent to assist employers in training and introducing employees to the basic practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating and reporting hazards associated with their work.
The Outreach Training Programs help employees recognize health hazards, meeting safety regulations, and understand how to properly use protective equipment. Our OSHA Outreach Training Programs are taught by an OSHA-Authorized Trainer and require 30 hours of training to meet OSHA requirements.
Our OSHA 30-Hour Outreach Training Programs meet requirements to meet OSHA requirements, but additional training may be required by an employer. Any additional training are employer responsibilities and are subject to the employer.
Over the past three years, over 1.3 million students have received training through this program.
NOTE: REMEMBER OSHA REQUIRES THE OUTREACH COURSE AND THE END OF COURSE SURVEY BOTH BE COMPLETED WITHIN SIX (6) MONTHS OF BEGINNING THE COURSE OR A DOL CARD WILL NOT BE ISSUED.
